Strawberry Hill
Strawberry Hill was almost a casualty of the enclosure movement in the 1800s. In the time since, it has slowly been replanted and is now largely woodland again - with trees including conifers and sweet chestnuts planted by the Forest's first Superintendent.
Toward the north of the area is Strawberry Hill Pond, which offers tranquility and pleasant views, making it a pleasant picnic spot in warmer months.
