A viewpoint steeped in history
The name "Parliament Hill" dates back to the 17th century during the English Civil War when the hill was used as a strategic lookout by Parliamentarian forces. In 1888, it was officially incorporated into Hampstead Heath, ensuring its preservation as a public open space. Getting to Parliament Hill viewpoint

Hampstead Heath and Gospel Oak stations are both within easy walking distance of the viewpoint.
Belsize Park and Kentish Town (Northern Line) are nearby and offer a short walk through the Heath.
Routes 24, 46, and C11 stop close to the southern entrance of the Heath, where the viewpoint is a short walk from.
