Highgate Wood is a surviving piece of ancient woodland in North London and is a site of local importance for nature conservation. The Wood has rich and varied wildlife including birds, insects and mammals. It is a beautiful woodland with opportunities for recreation such as cricket. It offers peace and tranquillity from the hustle and bustle of a busy city and includes a popular play area for young people.

Highgate Wood  is owned and managed by the City of London Corporation and is a registered charity (charity registration number 232986).
