Escape the crowds of your local neighbourhood and adventure close to home on a self-guided walk from the suburbs to the City of London.

Embark on walks from suburb locations in Camden, Islington, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Westminster and Lambeth. Each trail will take you along lesser-trodden paths, uncovering centuries of history, art and culture on the way.

When you reach the City of London you can explore the ancient heart of the capital. You don’t need to travel to Italy to see Roman ruins or France to experience cafe culture. Grab a coffee in Bloomberg Arcade and watch the world go by, or marvel at the remains of the Roman Amphitheatre under Guildhall Yard.

Westminster to the City - A Tale Through Two Cities

There will be stories, heroes, criminals, fancy folk, monks and tales of tea all in the space of this guided tour in and out of the City.

You will travel through the centuries between Trafalgar Square and Cheapside, to spend some free time in the centre of the City with its iconic architecture, open cafes and shops. You will be able to look and linger crowd-free at St Paul's Cathedral , Paternoster Square, Guildhall, - all within a few minutes of where you arrive in the City.

The return walk to Westminster will take you past a host of other stories and discoveries.

Lambeth to the City - Doing the Lambeth Walks!

There will be stories about theatre, history, hats, monks and body snatching all in the space of this guided tour in and out of the City.

You will travel through the centuries between The Garden Museum and Blackfriars to spend some free time in the centre of the City with its iconic architecture, open cafes and shops. You will be able to look and linger crowd-free at the Thames Path ,Millennium Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral or Fleet Street - all very close to where you arrive in the City.

Southwark to the City - Go West!

There will be stories, theatre, history, tales of shipbuilders, pilgrims, London's first female mayor and the City's oldest church all in the space of this guided tour in and out of the City.

You will travel through the centuries between Southwark and all Hallows by the Tower, to spend some free time in the City with its iconic architecture, open cafes and shops.
