Digital Skills Hub
Digital Hub Legacy Continuing the Mission
The Mayor of London’s Skills Academies Digital Hub Programme has been instrumental in supporting Londoners hardest hit by the pandemic, guiding them towards sustainable employment in key sectors essential for London’s recovery and long-term economic growth. With the conclusion of this programme in April 2024, the City of London Corporation is dedicated to continuing this vital work in-house, ensuring that the momentum is not lost.
A cornerstone of the Helping Londoners into Good Work mission is to narrow the employment gap among different groups in London. This mission targets individuals who are newly unemployed, as well as those facing inequality and under-representation in various sectors.
The Digital Skills Hub, now fully overseen by the City of London Corporation, remains a crucial element of this initiative. The Hub’s objective is to connect Londoners with training that directly translates to quality jobs in the digital sector. It also aims to link them with major employers committed to diversifying their recruitment processes, offering work placements, interview opportunities, and pathways to rewarding careers.
