This qualification will develop complex skills and knowledge necessary to work in a bookkeeping role or to progress to higher level accountancy roles or study. Students completing this qualification will become competent in financial processes including accounting principles and concepts, advanced bookkeeping and preparing financial statements. They will also be introduced to business issues regarding payroll and value added tax (VAT), including an understanding of the documents and reports produced on payroll software, timescales for submissions and payments.

*Learners should have a good command of English, ideally at Entry Level 3 or above to help complete the course.

The purpose of this qualification is to allow learners to demonstrate understanding of and competency in the essential digital skills they need for life and work. It will enable learners to engage with digital services and products in everyday life and work. Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to suitable level 2 qualifications

This one-term course is a general introduction to using a computer and is designed for complete beginners and near beginners. We will cover the basics of using a computer, keyboard and mouse. You will also learn the basics of accessing the internet, surfing the web, searching for information, using email and will help you to create simple Word and Excel documents. Progress from here to the Essential Digital Skills qualification at Entry Three.

Date: Tuesdays 07/05 - 16/07

Time: 10am – 12pm

If you work or volunteer in a role that involves or supervises the handling or preparation of food you will need to gain this Level 2 qualification. So, no matter whether you are working in a bar, restaurant, a school, sell your own street food or work in any environment where you handle or prepare food, you will be legally required to pass a Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate.

This Level 2 qualification is suitable for learners who are thinking about working as a volunteer and will provide them with an insight into the role and an awareness of the personal standards required of them whilst volunteering. It is also suitable for those learners who are already in a volunteering role and will enhance both their knowledge and skills. In these circumstances the learners could use their volunteering role to assist them to gather the evidence required.

*Learners should have a good command of English, ideally at Entry Level 3 or above to help complete the course.

The Award in Sewing and Textiles Level 2 is a comprehensive course designed to provide participants with the continued knowledge and practical skills required for sewing and textile craftsmanship. This qualification is designed for learners aged pre-16 and above who wish to develop skills and knowledge in craft, with a unit dedicated to creating, presenting and reviewing a textiles item.

Entry Requirements:

To ensure all learners can fully engage with the course, a basic level of English proficiency is required. Non-native English speakers should have an Entry Level 3 or low B1 (CEFR) standard of English. This will help you follow instructions, participate in discussions, and complete any written reflections or evaluations.

Important: a partial fee may be applied to those candidates that are in full-time employment and earn over the London living wage. To be eligible for funding on our free courses you should be a UK national or an EEA national with pre-settled or settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme and have been resident in the UK/EEA for the past three years. Proof may be required, more information about this is on the enrolment form.
