Public Realm enhancement strategies

The City of London Corporation has developed strategies for areas of the City to improve the streets and public spaces. The strategies are based on the need for future sustainable growth. They have been published following consultation with local residents and City workers and reflect the City Corporation's and Mayor of London's planning and transportation policies.

The Liverpool Street Area Enhancement Strategy has been developed to provide prioritised enhancement proposals for public realm and road danger reduction in the Liverpool Street station area. The Strategy identifies current issues and future demands, and sets out a framework for addressing these within the context of existing policies and guidance to provide an improved, accessible, functional and safe environment that supports the increased pedestrian footfall in the area.
