Mark Lane improvements

Date updated: 9/05/2023

The City of London Corporation is introducing improvements in Mark Lane, Hart Street, Crutched Friars, Cooper's Row, Crosswall, Hart Street, Northumberland Alley and Pepys Street.

These improvements consist of flat-topped road humps, waiting and loading restrictions and the removal of four pay for parking places. The measures will provide accessible and step-free routes for pedestrians, prevent vehicles obstructing the traffic flow and prevent parking at junctions, thereby improving visibility, accessibility, traffic flow and safety. The removal of four payment parking places on Mark Lane will enable the introduction of public realm improvements to provide a high-quality space which will enhance the pedestrian experience and look and feel of the area.
