Advice to businesses using mail forwarding

The City of London Trading Standards Service has identified a problem in the way that some businesses which provide a registered office address service to clients are operating. Any limited liability company in the UK must ensure that it has a registered office address where all communications can be addressed. If companies use the facilities of a business that acts as a mail forwarder, the companies must ensure that these arrangements allow for ALL communications to be forwarded to them.

We have taken legal advice on this issue and produced the advice for business document which we are circulating as widely as possible.
