Financial and professional services are an important part of the national economy, with hubs and clusters of expertise and employment across the country. This report looks at the role financial and professional services play UK-wide in terms of exports, jobs and productivity, and the links between the sector’s activities in regional centres and in London.

The performance of financial and professional services across the country and the sector’s links to the capital show that, as the UK changes its trading relationships, the future of this industry will have implications far beyond the capital.

This new report is published by Centre for Cities, and supported by City of London.
