The cover of the "Post FTA regulatory cooperation between the UK and Australia" report

With the UK-Australia Free Trade Agreement soon to be ratified and enter into force, it’s important to think about how both countries can make the most of the new economic opportunities of the agreement. This report focuses specifically on the opportunities afforded the financial and professional services sector through the creation of a Regulatory Dialogue.

The report does this by articulating the benefits of regulatory cooperation for businesses of all sizes. It identifies cross-sectoral issues as well as sector specific issues and proposes potential solutions. The report has been written in consultation with regulators, UK businesses and Australian businesses operating in the UK. The report provides an agenda for the Regulatory Dialogue to adopt to ensure it addresses the most pressing business issues as quickly as possible and maximises the economic opportunities of the new agreement.
