The UK-US Regulatory Relationship

As the UK pursues an independent trade policy, there is enhanced focus on the UK-US trading relationship – an important partnership that goes well beyond economic considerations.

The City of London Corporation has released the first in a series of reports which will identify policy areas where further trans-Atlantic regulatory dialogue and cooperation can lead towards greater regulatory alignment in areas of common ambition.

"The UK-US Regulatory Relationship: A study into the UK-US regulatory market access barriers in foreign investment and data regulation" analyses the impacts of CFIUS FIRRMA expansion on UK firms and data regulation. and makes a number of key recommendations for policymakers.

Eventually, this series of reports will be combined to provide a holistic image of the UK-US market access landscape.
