Knowing the businesses you are trading with is key to forming a lasting, productive relationship with them whether they are your customers or suppliers. We have resources where you can view the contacts, financial details and credit scores of all UK registered companies and put together contact lists for targeted marketing. Our resources will also enable you to scope out your competitors.

You can access these databases with a SBREC membership.

  • You will need a subscription membership to access our databases that 'available remotely' from anywhere in the UK.

  • A free (Access) membership will give you access to all our databases in person at the Centre, which is open Mon to Thurs 10am-5pm.

BRAD lists Media contacts and advertising costs for UK press: national; regional; business; consumer printed press, as well as: TV; radio; digital; out-of-home.

Exporters Almanac has links to online industry directories worldwide, plus international trade organisations and business networks.

Fame contains contact and financial data on over 6 million active UK companies. Find business-to-business contacts. You can also check out potential competitors and see their financial performance.

IBISWorld is primarily a market research tool looking at the UK, overseas and regional markets and contains mini profiles on companies.

Statista has profiles and financials for 15 million companies worldwide. It also provides worldwide statistics and forecasts for all consumer markets and industry sectors, demographics, economics and other statistics.

Press articles are a powerful source of business information, and you can access our databases with your membership.

Business Source Premier and European Newsstream (both available remotely and at the Centre) contain thousands of articles that are useful for finding out trends, information on companies, and tips and advice on practical issues such as advertising or managing staff. You will also be able to use Access to Research (available at the Centre) and Ebsco Discovery Search (available remotely and at the Centre) which also include articles and reports from many sources.
