The City of London Corporation has been present in India for over 10 years. Since the establishment of the Mumbai office, our India programme has continued to flourish throughout the years.

The activities of the programme have evolved over time from a focus on Inward Investment and Innovation Partnerships in areas of Insurance and Insolvency, and Fintech, to include other areas like Sustainable Finance and Capital Markets.

Our India Programme build on the long-term relationship between the UK and India, influencing policies through engagement with senior officials and regulators.

The Corporation’s Chair of the Policy and Resources Committee and the Rt. Hon. the Lord Mayor are key figures for our India programme, and they work closely with the team in India and London to engage with decision makers in the financial and professional services sector.

The work of our India programme is carefully guided by the City of London Corporation India Advisory Council - a group of senior Indian financial sector experts who help shape our priorities and strategic direction.

The aims of our India programme remain the same as when we initially launched the programme:
