Be Inspired! Performance workshop and exhibition visit (KS2)

Come and explore our new exhibition, Inspired! The exhibition gathers artworks inspired by poetry, music, novels and plays. As well as free entry to the exhibition, you will take part in a performance workshop led by our colleagues at Artis, inspired by the depiction of the banqueting scene in Shakespeare’s Macbeth where the ghost of Banquo appears to terrify the king.

Cost: £150 + VAT per class/1hr session, funding available.

Amphitheatre Explorers (KS2-3)

Explore a real archaeological site with a trained archaeologist. Uncover more about the discovery of London’s Roman Amphitheatre, the topography of Roman London and what happened in one of its most important buildings. Lasting around 1.5 hours, these facilitated sessions are designed to provide an exciting insight into life in the capital nearly 2000 years ago.

Cost: £110 + VAT per class/1.5hr session, funding available.

Great Fire of London (KS1-2)

This will include creative and discussion-based activities looking at what life was like in London before, during and after the fire. You and your group will be introduced to Samuel Pepys and Sir Christopher Wren in the heart of the City, before heading into Guildhall Art Gallery to map out the spread of the fire, meet a Fire Judge and design a monument to commemorate the City that rose from the ashes.

There is an option to add a guided visit to The Monument to the Great Fire of London to this workshop to make a Great Fire Study Day. Please ask for information.

Cost: £110 + VAT per class/1.5hr session, funding available.

New FREE interactive virtual workshop-
Explore three Roman London Sites (KS2-3)

In partnership with London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE, we are delighted to offer a live, interactive multi-sensory workshop that enables students to virtually explore three important Roman sites in London:

  • London’s Roman Amphitheatre
  • Billingsgate Roman House and Baths
  • London Mithraeum Bloomberg SPACE

This 60-minute session challenges pupils to think critically and enhance their understanding of the past, unlocking the sights and smells of Roman London as they explore the accompanying replica artefact box.

Check the virtual-workshop teachers’ resource and book the virtual workshop.
