The GROW Employability Project

Funded by the City of London Corporation, the GROW Employability Project supports people to enhance their employability, apply for jobs, revamp their CVs, grow their confidence and motivation and find new employment.
We offer advice and guidance around careers in care, hospitality, retail, the NHS, customer service, warehousing, HGV driving, construction, accounting and more.
GROW participants receive bespoke and free one to one information, advice and guidance sessions for an unlimited period of time on the following topics:
- CV and cover letter writing
- creating a LinkedIn profile
- interview techniques
- finding an apprenticeship
- work placements and traineeships
- volunteering opportunities
- finding courses

Employability and Enterprise Workshops
We also run group workshops on topics such as:
- researching job opportunities
- CV, personal statement and cover letter writing
- preparation of a personal video statement
- interview techniques including online interviews
- staying in employment skills: being a good team-worker, clear communication, kindness and empathy in the workplace
- creating your elevator pitch
- starting a business plan
- the basics of personal branding
