Hatch Forest and Whitehall Plain

Whitehall Plain is grazed by our conservation herd of longhorn cattle in July. If you see our cows while in the area, please be mindful that they are livestock and not pets, keep a respectful distance, and keep dogs on leads around them.

Hatch Forest is a broad, winding woodland with occasional, secluded clearings and connects Highams Park with Barn Hoppitt and the Forest around Chingford and Woodford.

Things to do in Hatch Forest and Whitehall Plain

  • Bring your binoculars for a spot of bird-watching
