Pole Hill, Yardley Hill and Yates' Meadow
Pole Hill, Yates' Meadow and Yardley Hill are three of the highest points around the Chingford area and provide stunning views of the city. Pole Hill was also once home to T.E. Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia.
Yates' Meadow and Yardley Hill lie to the north of Pole Hill, through Hawk Wood, and offer the best views of the London skyline available in Epping Forest.

Cattle return to Yates' Meadow
The City of London Corporation are delighted to reintroduce grazing cattle to Yates’ Meadow in Chingford. Six of the Forest’s longhorn herd have moved into their temporary new home, which boasts stunning views across the treetops to the city skyline.
