The Parliament Hill Lido is a 60 metre long open-air, chlorinated swimming pool which is open 365 days a year.

  • Limited number of medium sized lockers are available - please bring your own padlock. Lockers are emptied at the end of each session
  • Small lockers are available for valuables

Cashless payment is preferred.

Swimmers under 16 years and 60+ years can swim free of charge up to 9.30am on production of proof of age.

*Evening sessions are adult (18+) only and will not run on Tuesdays, or weekends.


Bookings are available at 12:00 every Monday via Eventbrite for the following seven days.

We do not take group bookings and bookings will only be available up to seven days in advance.

We strongly recommend booking swims for the Morning and Afternoon sessions to avoid disappointment. Unsold tickets can be purchased onsite on the day but in hot weather unsold tickets are rarely available.

If you are not able to use our online systems, please speak to a member of staff who will be able to advise further.


The sauna is now closed for the summer season and will reopen in October for the winter season.

Water temperature

The Lido is not heated. We regularly publish the water temperature at the Lido.


All money received from swimming is gratefully received and is reinvested to support the costs of operating the Lido, thank you for your support. You can make an additional donation to Hampstead Heath (Registered Charity no. 803392).


The Lido is located on Gordon House Road.

There is parking available at the Lido Car Park.


Concessions apply to people in receipt of certain State Benefits including: Universal Credit, Job Seekers Allowance, Personal Independence Payments and Housing Benefit as well as people with a Freedom Pass; Disabled Card; Students, those 60 and over and under 16’s.

You will be asked to provide proof of eligibility when you swim.

Free morning swim

Those aged under 16 or 60 and over are eligible for a free morning swim from 7am until 9.30am, on production of proof of age.


Carers can accompany a swimmer for free. Season Ticket holders who require a carer for swimming can apply for an additional free-of-charge wristband for use by their carer when the carer accompanies them for a swim.
